Founder + Executive Director
Melanie is the founder and Executive Director of Nosapo. She has a degrees in English, writing, and visual art. Melanie began Nosapo as a website and resource to activists, educators & facilitators, healthcare administrators, and learners-any person that may benefit from the research and education materials. In going further, creating Nosapo into an organization was natural to reach individuals with greater impact.
Melanie has traveled internationally teaching and distributing culturally sensitive, demographic specific and sustainable resources for the English language, health & wellness, and human rights. She has mentored high school age students in writing and art, taught special education English, was the ESL Administrator at the Boston Center for Refugee Health and Human Rights, and has volunteered teaching the English language in the Philippines, Thailand, Europe and America. Melanie is also certified as a yoga instructor at the 200 hour YTT level and focuses on trauma-informed Hatha yoga. She was recently the yoga instructor to women and young girls at the Elliniko Refugee Camp in Athens, Greece.
Melanie is driven by connecting people to the education, healthcare, and rights they deserve.
